Olga Harea

Architect, PhD in Engineering Sciences, lecturer and dean of the Faculty of Urban Planning and Architecture at the Technical University of Moldova.

She graduated from the Technical University of Moldova in 2013, with a diploma in the field of architecture and urban planning, Integrated Studies: Bachelor and Master. The initial step in her career was related to environmental architecture and protection, and later broadened her focus towards the natural environment, concentrating on landscape architecture.

In 2014, she won the scholarship “Stipendium Hungaricum” and enrolled as a doctoral candidate at Szent Istvan University in Hungary, the Doctoral School of Landscape Architecture and Landscape Ecology. In 2020, she was awarded the doctoral degree in Engineering Sciences.

Olga Harea did not abandon architectural practice during her academic studies. Starting from October 2018, she has been working as architect at Smart Architecture SRL and LH 47 ARCH, and has specialized in the architecture of industrial, residential and public buildings.

In 2019, she was selected to represent the Republic of Moldova at the European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST) action entitled “European Middle-Class Mass Housing”.

As of 2022, she is the dean of the Faculty of Urban Planning and Architecture at the Technical University of Moldova, being actively involved in the organization and judging of competitions destined to architects, designers and engineers in the faculty.
